About the Seminar:
The past several years have seen a dramatic increase in the criminalization of business conduct that had been treated historically as minor civil violations or regulatory infractions. The extraordinary economic consequences for businesses and the prospect of incarceration for individuals demand that counsel possess an acute sensitivity to signs of a criminal investigation and the ability to effectively address the crucial stages of the investigative process. This program, designed and taught by experienced current federal prosecutors and white collar criminal defense lawyers, will provide civil and in-house attorneys with a practical understanding of the criminal investigative process and the skills necessary to respond appropriately and avoid missteps that can have potentially devastating effects for their client or company.
