APPELLATE DEFENDER TRAINING

Thursday January 21 - Saturday January 23 , 2010

Limited Enrollment

Enrollment is limited by faculty size and the number of meeting rooms available, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Total registration for ADT will be limited to 42 participants for the Appellate Defender Skills Writing Track and 14 for the Advanced Advocacy Track. Registration for each small group workshop is limited to seven (7) participants. Furthermore, registration is restricted to attorneys engaged in or about to become engaged in the defense of criminal cases. Public and contract defenders and assigned appellate counsel will receive priority. Applications have exceeded available spaces at past events, so early registration is strongly encouraged.

Conference Sponsorship and Support

If you would like to help sponsor registration fees for participants who attend the Appellate Defender Conference, please contact training@nlada.org.

Continuing Legal Education Units

Most states require that attorneys attend CLE-accredited training each year to maintain bar membership. NLADA has applied for accreditation in most states with mandatory CLE.

* Please complete the CLE form included in your conference materials and return it to the registration desk. Alternatively, within (14) business days, you may mail your CLE form to NLADA.

* Individual state forms are available at the conference registration desk.

* If you are an attorney from Delaware, Oklahoma, Illinois or California, please remember to stop by the registration desk to sign the mandatory sign in sheets.
