On January 29, 2010 at 9 AM Pacific, 12 Noon EST, the National Rural Affinity Group will present a one hour webinar on the impact of the 2010 Census on low income rural communities.
The Decennial Census is a constitutionally based reflection of the diversity of this country and it critical to legal services clients and programs. This session will cover the 2010 Census, why legal services advocates should work to ensure that our client communities are counted and some examples of effective advocacy.
The presenters are Jamey Christy, the Los Angeles Regional Director of The Census and Ilene Jacobs, Director of Litigation, Advocacy and Training of California Rural Legal Assistance.
Participants and organizers will pay their own long distance charges to call in, but that is the only charge. VoIP is free.
