Description:
Since 2000, LSC's Technology Initiative Grant (TIG) program (http://tig.lsc.gov) has awarded $33 million to support 413 projects to develop, test and replicate technologies to help achieve LSC's goal of increasing the quantity and quality of legal services provided to eligible persons and to improve access to courts and legal information through pro se assistance. The selection process for TIG awards begins each year with a Request for Letters of Intent, followed by invitations to submit full applications. Approximately $3.4 million will be available for TIG awards in the 2010 funding cycle. While only LSC funded programs may apply, LSC encourages other interested parties to partner with their local LSC-funded legal aid program on projects to improve access to justice. Successful 2010 applicants will begin projects in January, 2011. Attend this training, conducted by LSC TIG staff, to learn more about submitting a Letter of Intent, the application process, and to familiarize yourself with the new TIG online application and reporting systems.
