Each year more than 11,000 undocumented youngsters find themselves in the U.S. alone, abandoned or abused,
and often in immigration deportation proceedings. The ICAP program works to ensure representation for all children
by pairing them with volunteer attorneys to secure resolution in the best interest of the child. Children eligible for
Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), a federal benefit allowing them to remain legally in the U.S., desperately
need legal representation to navigate a complicated State and Federal legal system. ICAP's mission is to train
and support pro bono attorneys as they take on these cases and truly change lives. This training will give you the
foundation and tools needed to get involved.
