Veterans and Servicemembers Pro Bono and Lawyer Referral Program Attorney Position Open

The State Bar of Georgia Pro Bono Project, a joint project of the State Bar of Georgia and the Georgia Legal Services Program, seeks an attorney to staff a new Veterans and Servicemembers Pro Bono and Lawyer Referral Program funded by the State Bar of Georgia.

The mission of the Veterans and Servicemembers Pro Bono Program is to provide pro bono and paid referrals for veterans with disability claims and other legal matters to low-income servicemembers; provide pro bono and paid referrals to private attorneys in Georgia on a range of legal matters for servicemembers; and develop legal training programs and web content to support volunteer and referral attorneys. Candidates must have strong writing and communication skills, creativity, a desire to work in the public interest, and project management and team skills.

The position will be supervised by the Director of the State Bar of Georgia Pro Bono Project. The Pro Bono Project is a state support center for pro bono programs, legal aid programs, and bar associations. The Pro Bono Project and the Veterans and Servicemembers Pro Bono Program receive guidance and support from State Bar Committees.
