The Georgia Legal Services Program is providing disaster legal assistance to low-income Georgians in its service territory.

The flood disaster has affected thousands of Georgians who live in areas served by Georgia Legal Services Program. For the past 15 years, the program has provided disaster legal services, lending help to Georgians with ID replacement issues, contract and repair disputes, real property insurance matters and other disaster-related legal needs.

If you live in Carroll, Chattooga, Cherokee, Douglas, Paulding, Stephens or Walker County, and you need legal help or information due to the September floods, contact your local office of Georgia Legal Services Program for more information.

The State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division has set up a disaster legal hotline for low-income Georgians affected by the floods.  The toll free number is 1-866-584-8027.
