Georgia Department of Labor Adopts New Rule: Reduces Appeal Time for Waivers of Overpayments

The Georgia Department of Labor has adopted its proposed rule on waivers of overpayments limiting the time for appeal to 15 days rather than the longstanding 90 day appeal time.
No official announcement or web resource concerning adoption of the rule amendment has been made available by the Georgia Department of Labor notwithstanding the sharp reduction in appeal time and potential notice issues to claimants.
