Render M. Heard is GeorgiaAdvocates.org "Pro Bono Leader" for February. The Tifton lawyer was selected as the state's volunteer lawyer website hero for the volume of pro bono and reduced fee legal services he has provided to low-income Georgians in and around Tifton over the past several years.

The south Georgia lawyer, according to friends and colleagues, is friendly and generous-- and the model of lawyer civility. According to Stacey Crist, the Pro Bono Coordinator of the Valdosta Regional Office of Georgia Legal Services Program, Render is an A-1 volunteer lawyer-- dependable, supportive, and a zealous advocate for the client.
