Disaster Unemployment Benefits Application Deadline April 7, 2007! Georgia Tornado Survivors Act Now!

Are you out of work BECAUSE OF the tornadoes? Did you lose your spouse as a result of the tornadoes?
Was your own business or your employer's business damaged by the tornadoes so that you could not work?
Did you lose your job, or were you unable to start a new job, because the tornadoes damaged your home or car?
Are you unable to work due to injuries caused by the tornadoes?
Did you become the major support for your household because of the disaster-related death of a spouse who was working before the tornadoes?
You may be eligible for Disaster Unemployment benefits. Act now! The deadline for all affected counties is April 7, 2007!
People who are not eligible for regular unemployment benefits, like small business owners, self-employed persons, persons working on commission, farmers,farmworkers, and loggers, may be eligible. People who have been injured and are not able to seek work may also be eligible for disaster unemployment benefits. People who are not able to reach their workplace may be eligible.
The six declared disaster counties include:
Baker, Crawford, McDuffie, Mitchell, Sumter and Taylor Counties.
Apply at your local Department of Labor Office. To locate the nearest office, call the Department of Labor's toll-free number: 1-877-709-8185.
You will need your Social Security number to apply. If self-employed, you will need information about last year's earnings. If a death occurred, you will need to provide proof such as a death certificate.
If you have a good reason for applying past the deadline, you may still be able to get DISASTER UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS. APPLY NOW!
