Macon Bar and GLSP Present Pro Bono Awards

At the November meeting of the Macon Bar Association, the "Judy B. Davenport Pro Bono Partner Award" and the Firm of the Year Award were presented. The Macon Bar Association, a longtime supporter of Georgia Legal Services Program, recognizes outstanding pro bono achievements of Bar members.
The "Judy B. Davenport Pro Bono Partner Award" namesake is an employee of GLSP who, during her 30-plus years with GLSP as pro bono coordinator, has served as a bridge between legal aid and the local bar association. The Davenport Award was presented to Macon lawyer Ann Parman for her dedicated pro bono service to the Macon Community.
The Firm of the Year Pro Bono Award is presented to a Macon area law firm that has demonstrated dedicated participation of its lawyers to civil pro bono issues. The 2005 Law Firm Award was given to the firm of Akin, Webster and Matson, LLP for its commitment to access to justice.
